GPSTest.
By Sean J. Barbeau
GPSTest is Sean J. Barbeau's open-source Android app for inspecting a phone's satellite navigation. Where the hardware and Android 8 or newer allow it, the app reads dual-frequency signals from GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, and NavIC, plus several regional augmentation systems. The repository also explains how to send those measurements to the system log. The readme does not state a monetary price.

The F7 Insight
GPSTest is a field instrument rather than a map: it tells you which satellites the phone can actually see. For F7, that makes it a useful Android utility from a single maintainer, with a launcher icon that sits inside the Apache-licensed repository.
A closer look.
