ANDROID APP / Video

Next Player.

By anilbeesetti

Next Player is anilbeesetti's native Android video player, also offered for Android TV. The readme calls it completely free and open source, without ads or excessive permissions, and licenses it under GPL-3.0. It can play local files and URLs, select audio and subtitle tracks, change speed, and use picture-in-picture and background playback. Google Play and F-Droid links use the package dev.anilbeesetti.nextplayer.

The F7 Insight

Next Player is a player that also reaches a file on another machine. Network folders and a TV layout make it more than a button that opens a video already on the phone.
